Masters Odds 2017: Vegas Sportsbooks Split on Refunding Bets on Dustin Johnson

Only some of the gamblers who wagered on Dustin Johnson to win the 2017 Masters will be getting their money back.Per Darren Rovell and David Purdum of ESPN, some sportsbooks in Las Vegas are refunding money based on the fact Johnson withdrew before playing a single hole. Others are considering it a lost bet, noting that wagers count on futures, like picking a winner of a tournament.Johnson was the odds-on favorite to win the first major of the year as recently as Wednesday, perOdds Shark.Unfortunately, the No. 1 player in the world suffered a back injury when hefell down the stairsin his rental home. He attempted to play Thursday but walked off the first tee."It sucks," Johnson said Thursday after withdrawing, perBob Harigof ESPN.com. "Obviously I want to play more than anything. It hurts.
