Position Check: Assessing New England Patriots' Strengths and Weaknesses

Despite winning the NFL's most recent Super Bowl, the New England Patriots have been hard at work this offseason improving their roster. With headline-grabbing moves and a series of trades, Bill Belichick and Co. have managed to put a fresh stamp on an already strong roster.Even with the 2017 draft still on the horizon, we should have a pretty good idea of what New England's roster is going to look like in 2017. The question is whether there are any glaring weaknesses on the team and if the Patriots can bolster them before the regular season.This is what we're going to examine here. We'll run down each position group for New England and determine if that area of the roster is a team strength or a team weakness. We'll also try to identify ways the team can improve either through the April 27-29 draft or the remnants of free agency.Since the Patriots do boast a championship-caliber roster, we'll be grading each position group on a bit of a curve.
