Ile-Ife Crisis: Bafarawa Donates N10m To Victims, Gets Accolades From Ooni

Former Sokoto State, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has donated ten million naira to the Hausa community victims of recent crisis between hausa and yoruba in Ile-Ife.A statement made available by the former governors media aide, Yusuf Dingyadi, said Bafarawa made the donation at the weekend, through a high-powered delegation which visited Ile-Ife to commiserate with the victims.The former governor described the crisis as unfortunate and stressed the need for Nigerians to live in peace.According to the statement, the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II lauded Bafarawas support to the victims noting that the former governor stands tall among his contemparies in fostering peace and unity in Nigeria.Ooni said Bafarawa remained one of the few talented and committed politician with humility, respect and generosity to the people, he saidDingyadi said the monarch appreciated the cash donation which was given to the Hausa community and urged other prominent Nigerians to emulate Bafarawas gesture of assisting victims of crisis.
