Paul Millsap to Miss at Least Next 3 Hawks Games Due to Knee Injury

Atlanta Hawks power forward Paul Millsap will miss time after undergoing a non-surgical procedure on his knee.KL Chouinard of ATL and 29 provided the latest update:The forward hasn't played since March 16 against the Memphis Grizzlies.Millsap remains one of the league's most consistent, well-rounded producers at age 32. The Hawks' leading scorer is averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks across 65 games during the 2016-17 campaign.The Louisiana Tech product has also been highly durable throughout his NBA career. He hadn't missed more than nine games in any previous season. That said, the forward did miss time in March with a lingering knee injury.If he's forced back to the sideline for awhile, Ersan Ilyasova figures to see the biggest uptick in playing time to fill the massive void. Mike Muscala and Kris Humphries should also receive more minutes as part of Atlanta's frontcourt rotation.Although it's a solid group of reserve forwards, the Hawks' lineup still won't be nearly as strong without Millsap available. His across-the-board contributions simply can't be matched by those other options, even in the aggregate.
