Road Construction/Others: LG Chiefs Commend Katsina Govt

The acting chairmen, otherwise known as Heads of Administration, of Sandamu, Baure and Zango Local Governments in Katsina State, have expressed delight in the successes of Governor Aminu Bello Masari administration at improving the socio-economic development and growth across the state.The Heads of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sada Isah (Sandamu), Alhaji Umar Ibrahim (Baure) and Alhaji Sale Aliyu Tsagero (Zango), who made the commendation while briefing journalists said the present administration has done well in road construction, agriculture, water and health sectors.Addressing the newsmen in Sandamu, Sada Isah applauded the governor for the completion of the construction and asphalt overlay of SandamuBaureBabban Mutun road and on-going construction of Fago- Katsayal Kwasarawa Jirdede Koza road, adding that no fewer than 200 farmers in Sandamu benefitted from Fadama 111 programme initiated the state and federal governments.Similarly, his Zango counterpart, Aliyu Tsagero, said farmers in the area are among beneficiaries of fertilizer, sprayers, seedlings, tube wells and other inputs provided under the Fadama programme.Tsagero attributed the new lease of life in the areas of road, health, water, education and agriculture to the commitment of Governor Masari administration to instill discipline and ensure accountability at state and local government levels.Baure Local Government chief, Umar Ibrahim, disclosed that prior to the construction of SandamuBaureBabban Mutun road, the people of the area were left behind in economic growth and development of the state.Speaking earlier, the chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Katsina State Council, Mallam Lawal Saidu, said the official tour is meant to assess the achievements, challenges and impact of the present administration on the lives of Katsina people.
