Stanbic IBTC reports 52% profit growth in 2016

Stanbic IBTC Plc has recorded 51.5 per cent growth in profit after tax for the financial year ended December 31, 2016. The group in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) showed positive growth across financial metrics with profit after tax of N28.5 billion, representing a growth of 51.5 per cent over N18.8 billion recorded in the corresponding period of December 2015. Profit before tax stood at N37.2 billion as against N23.6 billion, a year earlier, accounting for a 57.6 per cent growth.
