Eric Gordon Wins 2017 NBA 3-Point Contest: Scores, Highlights and Reaction

In the arena he called home for five seasons, Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon beat out Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving to win the NBA Three-Point Contest on Saturday night in New Orleans.Gordon posted the highest first-round score (25) before he and Irving each registered 20 points in the final round. In the final tiebreaker, Gordon's strong shooting continued, and he edged out Irving by three points:"It was just my night to tonight," Gordon said, per NOLA.com's John Reid.Rockets guard Patrick Beverley wasn't surprised to see his teammate come out on top:Complex Sports and The Ringer's Rodger Sherman both made light of Irving's recent comments about the Earth possibly being flat (h/t ESPN.com):Gordon didn't enjoy a great run with the New Orleans Pelicans. Injuries limited his time on the court, while few fans never forgot his contract saga with the Phoenix Suns before he re-signed with New Orleans in 2012.
