Published by Leadership on Sat, 18 Feb 2017

The All Progressives Congress stakeholders in Oganenigu ward of Dekina local government area, Kogi state has commended Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello on his developmental strides in the state. This commendation formed part of the communiqu issued at the end of the wards stakeholders meeting at Aloko, headquarters of the ward. The group commended Gov Bello for his effort at enthroning peace and harmony among the ethnic groups in the state, especially his detribalized approach to governance. They said that Gov Bello had done well in the security sector which led to the recent award given to him by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris. However, the group observed with dismay the total neglect of the area by the administrations preceding Gov Bellos. They therefore called on the governor to redress the injustice done to the community by his predecessors in the areas of social amenities and infrastructural development. In a three point communiqu signed by Hon Samuel Solomon, the Ward coordinator and presented to newsmen by Abimaje Ekele Prophet said among other things; The group urged the governor to construct the 22 kilometers Oganenigu-Iyale road, which has become unmotorable and the 26 kilometers Oganenigu-Etutekpe road, last constructed with laterite overlay in 1978, which has become a death trap.
