CSR: Dialogue Girls College Embarks On Cleaning Streets In Kaduna

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to its host community, Dialogue Girls College, staff and students embarked on cleaning streets within Kaduna metropolis.The staff and students who filed out in their hundreds carrying brooms, buckets, rakes among other items started the cleaning from Alkali road and later moved to Isa Kaita road in Kaduna North Local Government area.Speaking to journalists, Principal of Dialogue Girls College, Hajiya Sakinatu Nasir said cleaning of the streets is part of the College of complementing Governor Nasir El-Rufai led policy of keeping Kaduna clean.Hajiya Nasir also said,it is in line with the principle of Islam to assist the neighbours in cleaning their environment, saying the College took it as a responsibility to help in cleaning the neigbhourhood for both hygienic and spiritual benefits.The Principal also disclosed this is the fourth year that the college has embarked on the cleaning exercise, assuring that by Gods grace it will continue and even bring on board other policies that will directly benefit the host community.One of the students, Khadijat Sabo Ibrahim expressed happiness for participating in the cleaning exercise; she commended the principal and management of the school for the initiative.A motorist, John Auta plying the road reacting to the exercise said that the cleaning of the street by the College was a welcome development that deserves to be emulated by others.Similarly, a shop owner on Alkali road, Mallam Garba Adamu who spoke onbehalf of other traders around the area said they have nothing to say but to ask for Allahs blessings on the students and staff of Dialogue Girls College.
