Entrepreneurs and noble friends, Angel Twani and Joy Shakarho on Valentines Day put smile on the faces of women who under the Abuja environmental agency sweep the streets of Abuja on daily basis.The event which was held on February 14, 2017 at Shashaz Garden, Gimbiya Street, Area 11, Abuja had in attendance all Abuja environmental women in charge of sweeping the streets of that areas of Abuja.Others in attendance include the CEO, Papyrus Magazine, Hon. Doofan Abu-Amalia, CEO, Shashaz Garden, Aisha Elkana, who supported the event with the venue and other valuable contributions, Miss Ambassador for Peace, Oluchi, to mention but few.Speaking in separate interview during the event, the duo said they were passionate about making the women happy as well as making them feel loved. Hence they decided to bring them together on the special day of Valentine to have fun with them.According to Shakarho, we are just doing something noble for these less privileged women around us on Valentines Day to make them feel special. We have just little things to put a smile on their faces.We have been doing this for a long time now but we never thought of tagging it under the umbrella of any NGO and even without media presence.I see these women every day and each time I see them, I feel like making them happy by giving them some money. But this time around we thought of bringing all of them together to make them feel happy and belong in the society.Basically what we have for them today are food stuff in raw forms (ranging from rice, gari, indomie, maggi and others), juice, clothes, and recharge cards.We narrow this noble course down to these environmental women because people dont really think about them. These are the women that sweep our roads and keep our environment tidy every day. Some of them are single parent and have children in school. They really need help and shows of love from time to time to give them hope in life. But to me they are forgotten.Many noble Nigerians never think about them. They only have concern for orphanage homes but in as much as we still visit orphanage homes, these women also need our attention. Orphanage homes usually have enough from philanthropists and even from international scenes but these women are left alone on this struggle. Some say they are working for salary. But if I may ask, how much is their salary' These are family women that are not earning up to N15,000 in a whole month out of which they pay house rent, school fees, clothes, feeding and whole lot of other needs.On her part, the singer and entrepreneur, Twani advised the women to be hopeful and never be discouraged in life, saying no condition is permanent.Today is Valentines Day so we thought of bringing together the women sweeping the streets of Abuja to put smile on their faces on this special day.My advice to them is that, whatever they do and whatever they are going through, they should not be discouraged. No condition is permanent. Some of them could be great tomorrow and even their children could be president of this country tomorrow. So they should be hopeful in life.Commending the effort of the passionate ladies, one of the leaders of the Abuja environmental women, Naomi Ayuba, said it was a great moment on Valentines Day with Angel and her friends.We are very happy for Angel and her friends who have brought us together today. We are really having fun with them to mark the lovers day. It makes us feel loved and humbled.We witnessed some show of love like this three years ago when someone who was happy with our job of sweeping the streets of Abuja came and gathered us together and made us happy by sharing wrappers for all of us like this very ladies that remembered us today. We are very happy and grateful.The women having collected their shares of the gifts prayed for the organisers and wish them well in their careers.Our prayers for Angela and Joy who have made us happy today is that God will reward them and open more doors of blessings to them as we wish them all the best in their respective careers.
