LONDON ' Donald Trump is set to face theUK's "biggest ever protest" when he visits later this year, campaigners and politicians warnedon Sunday.Trump is due to visit the UK in the summer. However,officialsare reportedly planning to move the president's visit from London to Birmingham because of fears of the hostile reception he would receive in the capital, following a series of huge protests against him across the country.Multipleprotests have already taken place against his planned visitwithtens of thousands of people expected to take part in another day of action against himon February 2o.The president'splanned state visit to the UK has already run into trouble after the House of Commons Speaker effectively banned him from speaking in Parliament.However, a source close to Trump told the Telegraph that they hope to holda closedevent in Birmingham where tens of thousandsof his British supporters would pay to see him speak instead.'It would be his biggest rally with 85,000 people coming together to celebrate the US-UK special relationship," the source said."If he is not speaking to the Houses of Parliament, let's go to the people. The only person who gets screwed is the Speaker of the House of Commons."However, campaignerstoday reacted to the news bypromising the UK's largest ever protest, no matter where in the country Trump's visit is held."Donald Trump's state visit will be marked by the biggest protest against racism and hatred in our country's history," Owen Jones, writer and co-founder of the Stop Trump Coalition, said."It doesn't matter where he goes. We will march in our millions against him."Ministers reportedly believe that Trump would be more warmly received in a part of the country which voted more heavily for Brexit.However local politicianssaid that thecontroversial politician would not be welcome inBirmingham."Birmingham is a wonderfully diverse city, home to people of every background, every faith - President Trump with his hateful and divisive rhetoric, policies and Muslim ban is not welcome here,"Shabana Mahmood, Labour MP for Birmingham Ladywood, said:Others promised to resist his visit."Birmingham is a diverse and tolerant city that welcomes visitors from around the world but I really hope that Donald Trump is not welcome here,"Kerry Jenkins, Labour councillor for Hall Green Ward, Birmingham, said."He is a racist and a misogynist who is using his power to divide.
