Dance had clearly heard enough.Speaking to Business Insider shortly after the incident, Dance said:"I'm amazed UKIP suddenly want to play by the rules. I took a risk ' but I'm happy to accept whatever consequences the Parliament decides on."He added: "I was frustrated at the lack of opportunity to challenge Farage on his populist, nationalist bile. As leader of the EFDD group he gets an automatic 3 minute speech that no-one can respond to owing to time limits on the debate. Trump, Farage, Wilders, Le Pen - they are selling a false prospectus to the people - claiming that breaking up the EU into competing nationalist enclaves is the solution to people's problems. It's time we stopped nuancing our replies and call it out for what it is: lying."UKIP MEP Bill Etheridge has since launched a formal complaint to the Parliament'sPresident Antonio Tajani, Business Insider has learnt, due to the failure of officials to remove Dance after the incident. In an email to Tajani, Etheridge said:"Dear Sir,During the debate today regarding the USA border controls, a member of the British Labour party sat behind Nigel Farage MEP during his speech with a sign making a defamatory personal remark. The officials failed to remove him until the end of the speech and when I raised the matter it was not treated with sufficient seriousness by the acting chair.I would like you to rule on this matter please sirRegardsBill Etheridge"Join the conversation about this storyNOW WATCH: A British reporter called Trump a 'brash TV extrovert' while asking if he'd get along with UK's prime minister
