Jeffrey Tambor Hints We'll Have To Wait For More 'Arrested Development

Contrary to the widely shared statement by Arrested Development executive producer Brian Grazer earlier this year, a deal with Netflix for a fifth season of the Emmy-winning show does not appear to be imminent.Grazer told Deadline near the beginning of 2017 that he believed a contract would be finalized within a couple of weeks at the most. At the time, he also said toThe Wrap, All of the actors have agreed to do it and I think theyve agreed to their compensation structure ... It should be happening soon.While talking to actor Jeffrey Tambor (George Bluth Sr. and Oscar Bluth) about his upcoming Super Bowl ad, The Huffington Post also asked if any progress had materialized in the last couple weeks.Tambor said in reference to Grazers statement, I think that was a little before its time. Bryan Grazer is a true fan and gets excited, but stay tuned on that one, OK'Netflix plans to spend $6 billion on new shows this year, so there does appear to still be money in the banana stand. Tambor didnt elaborate on what is causing the holdup though.
