You can re-use an Amazon shipping box to donate to charity ' here's how

Published by Business Insider on Tue, 27 Dec 2016

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase. Now that the holidays are over, you probably have a few Amazon boxes kicking around. It's easy enough to recycle them, but Amazon has collaborated with Goodwill, giving you a more charitable way to reuse those boxes.Once you unpack your Amazon purchase, you can fill the empty box with clothes, homegood products, or accessories and seal it back up.From there you can create a free shipping label from the service GiveBackBox, and drop it off at a USPS or UPS. The box will automatically be sent to the nearest participating Goodwill. This process doesn't cost you any money, and if you'd like you can receive a tax deductionreceipt when you create the label. If you choose to use this program, it's ultimately a win-win-win. You're able to help someone in need, reuse a box that's probably in good shape, and clear out some space in your house. This isn't a limited time offer, either. Keep the link belowbookmarked, and participate in this service any time you have extra stuff, and an empty Amazon (or other) box laying around. For more information on this program click here.DON'T MISS:Why you should take advantage of this widely ignored part of Amazon to save moneySEE ALSO:You won't have to worry about compatibility issues with these 5 Apple accessoriesJoin the conversation about this story
