Jerryd Bayless Injury: Updates on 76ers PG's Recovery from Wrist Surgery

However, the guard fell multiple times during a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 23, which "resulted in significant impact to the wrist."Baylesswho has played for the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2008appeared in just three games for the 76ers this season, averaging 11.0 points and 4.3 assists per contest behind 34.4 percent shooting from the field. He averaged 10.4 points per game for the Bucks last season.When healthy, Bayless is a formidable scorer in the backcourt who has shot 36.6 percent from three-point range in his career.While the 76ers are still in rebuilding mode as they look to shape into a contender in the coming seasons, they will need to rely on others to carry the load in the backcourt for the remainder of the 2016-17 campaign.Look for Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell to split ball-handling duties in Bayless' absence. Rodriguez is averaging 9.0 points and 6.7 assists per game this season, while McConnell is posting 3.7 points and 4.6 assists per contest in his second season in the league.
