Minister Ramatlhodi to Visit the New Municipality in Limpopo

Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Adv. Ngoako Ramatlhodi will on Wednesday 14, December 2016, meet the community of Davhana, a village in the new Limp345 Local Municipality in Limpopo, on an Imbizo to interact with local residents on issues of service delivery.The community outreach is part of Minister Ramatlhodis Batho Pele- putting people first programme aimed at responding to service delivery challenges experienced by citizens in their communities, and a strategic vehicle that enables the department to interact with citizens in its quest to improve service provision in support of the priorities of government.Minister Ramatlhodi is expected to interactwith the frontline public servants at service delivery points about the status of service delivery and what should be done to enable them to do their work better, faster and smarter in line with the Batho Pele Principles.The Imbizo will also provide the Minister with an opportunity to update the public on programmes that are being implemented to improve their lives through the Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF). MTSF is governments first five year implementation plan of the National Development Plan (NDP) covering the period 2014 to 2019.The three months old municipality which includes Malamulele, Vuwani and Hlanganani was formed as a result of the disestablishment of Mutale municipality and the amalgamation of portions of the Thulamela and Makhado municipalities in August 2016.Members of the community will have the opportunity to receive services and engage with officials from service delivery departments that will be available on the day of the event.Members of the media are invited to the event as follows: Date: Wednesday, 14 December 2016Time: 09h00Venue: Balanganani Sports Grounds (Davhana)Distributed by APO on behalf of Republic of South Africa: Department of Government Communication and Information.Media filesDownload logo
