McDonald leads all 49ers tight ends in receptions (24), receiving yards (391) and touchdowns (four).Depth is a huge concern for the 49ers, who own the NFL's second-worst record at 1-12 after losing to the Jets in overtime. Garrett Celek will take on a more prominent role in the offense until McDonald is able to return.McDonald now has yet another injury that could keep him from producing like a true starting tight end.
