ATP World Tour Finals 2016 Results: Thursday Tennis Scores and Updated Schedule

Novak Djokovic cruised to a third win at the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday, beating replacement David Goffin in two sets.Goffin made his ATP World Tour Finals debut in place of the injured Gael Monfils but never came close to threatening the defending champion.Dominic Thiem and Milos Raonic will be in action later on Friday.Here's a look at Thursday's results:The schedule for Friday: RecapAs shared by Gaspar Ribeiro Lanca of Tenis Portugal, Goffin was given the chance to play his first World Tour Finals match due to Monfils' injury, but he didn't get lucky with his opponent:Goffin held his own early, but in the fourth game of the first set, the Djoker switched gears and broke serve. The break opened the floodgates, and in no time, the Serb built a massive lead.Djokovic was unhappy when he was given a time-violation warning, but he didn't let it get to him, and the domination continued. Goffin did show flashes of his talent, like this exquisite bit of defence, per TennisTV:But the Belgian wouldn't win another game in the first set, and another Djokovic break early in the second set all but ended Goffin's challenge. The Serb looked comfortable without playing extremely well, and all in all, Thursday's match was his easiest of the group stages.Goffin was able to halt the slide this time around, winning a second game while serving to stay in the set, but Djokovic sealed the deal shortly after.Raonic and Thiem will battle it out for a spot in the next round later on Thursday. On Friday, Andy Murray faces Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori takes on Marin Cilic in the final group-stage matches.
