Mr. Olympia 2015 Winner: Video, Results and Prize Money for Phil Heath

Published by Bleacher Report on Sun, 20 Sep 2015

History was made at the Mr. Olympia competition on Saturday night. For the fifth consecutive year, Phil Heath has been named Mr. Olympia, the first time that has happened since Ronnie Coleman won five straight from 1998-2002, per RX Muscle. It also was a history-making day when it comes to the prize money for Heath, who took home a record $400,000 for the victory. Last season, Heath took home $275,000, per GetBig.com.With a total purse of $900,000, here is the top-10 standings and their payouts, per Muscle Phone:Heath had to beat out former 2008 Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson, who at 45 was 10 years older than the champion.Body Mix TV shows the final results of the competition:One of Heath's biggest competitors, Kai Greene, did not compete this year, announcing that he was banned from the competition without going into specific reasons why.The two have had a rivalry history. The two fought for position on stage during the 2013 Arnold Classic Europe and a year later, they went at it during an Olympiapress conference. That gave Heath one less roadblock to the title as he exuded great definition with a solid core, helping him take the title. The win puts Heath in rare air as he continues to make his case for the greatest bodybuilder ever. He has some more work to do if he wants to equal the all-time record of Mr. Olympia wins. Lee Haney and Coleman have won the competition eight times.
