Ogun Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools placed Amosun on red alert

The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, Ogun State has just issued this Ultimatum to Ogun State Government.PLACING THE STATE GOVERNMENT ON RED ALERT : The union has noticed with concerns : (1) government"s failure in responding to correspondences (2) government"s several unkept promises (3)government"s failure to match commitments to teachers' welfare with action . ASUSS, rising from its state executive council meeting of friday 9th january,2015 resolved to place the state government on RED ALERT that by friday 16th january,2015 if the demands stated below are not met, the union may not be able to guarantee the continuous services of its members (secondary school teachers) in the state.We find it germane to remind the government of teachers'demandthus; > full payment of 27.5% TPA > payment of 2014l leave allowance of GL 13 and above > remitance of deductions to coop,banks loans & union subscriptions from oct to dec 2014 > payment of running grants to sec sch.for 4 terms > conduct of 2014 promotion exercise >appointment of new PG to fill the existing vacancies >recruitment of more teachers.
